The Art of Christine Earhart

Lincoln, Nebraska 1983-1986

Lincoln, the prairie, was our next move.  We continued with our “redo” homes and this one was a 1940’s Art Deco house complete with an air raid shelter in the basement incase the Communist attacked.  The back had a two story rounded wall with glass block and that flat roof was not the smartest thing to have in Nebraska.  The yard was big and perfect for the children.  You can’t think on Nebraska without thinking of the Cornhuskers, University of Nebraska’s football team.  Everyone is a fan and RED is the color.  Our new addition to the family was Abbey, an airedale.  We lived a couple of hours from my in-laws who lived on a farm in Iowa.  Many weekends were spent with them and the first time we had lived near family.
